Greetings! So happy you stumbled across my blog. I hope you enjoy it! I am a travel-loving, train-hoping, costume-wearing, rapier-swishing, castle junkie. I love reading, dancing, researching medieval monarchies and mapping train routes. Like most of the nerd world, I am borderline obsessed with Firefly, The Dresden Files, and Benedict Cumberbatch. I have a love-hate relationship with George R. R. Martin and The Hobbit has a permanent home on my bedside table.
The world is my bucket list but so far Europe has been my primary destination. Like Panda Express’ orange chicken I find myself always coming back for more. Central and Eastern Europe in particular hold a special place in my soul. I won’t lie, it’s probably because of the castles. And the price tag– I pride myself on traveling on the cheap.
When I’m not excitedly pointing at castles I’m trying to keep up with these two crazies and my wonder-mutt, Leia.
We live in Palmdale, CA, a town that makes the top ten lists online for ‘most boring California city’ and ‘most stressful place to live’. At least we’re on the map!
